“Clear is Kind; Unclear is Unkind” says Brené Brown, a researcher and storyteller who's spent two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy.
Effective classroom management is key to creating a successful learning environment. One of the most effective ways for teachers to improve classroom behavior and student performance is by utilizing restorative practices. Restorative practices encourage communication, accountability, and empathy among students and teachers alike, creating a supportive and respectful learning environment.
You will come away with practices to increase staff and student voice and collaborative guideline setting strategies that will create a safe, positive learning environment for all members of the learning communities. These same strategies can be used to introduce, reenforce, and review academic material. You will leave with protocols to help you give your students a voice and choice in their educational experience in exchange for being accountable for their words and actions. Teachers and students establish a classroom learning environment that is safe and caring for all stakeholders.
Cost: $175.00 – limit of 30 participants.
